When you're ready to use it, remember that it expands up to 40% in liquid and can absorb up to five times its weight. Keep in mind that uncooked Kelp is quite chewy until it's soaked or marinated. To tenderize it fully, simmer it for 15-20 minutes, pressure cook for 5 minutes, roast for 3-4 minutes at 300°F, or pan-fry for 4-5 minutes until crispy.
