- Rinse them under cold running water
- Bring yellow lentils & water to boil in a ratio of 1:3
- Reduce to low heat
- Simmer covered for approximately 15-20 minutes.
In an instant pot, cooking time is only 2-6 minutes, whereas in a crockpot, cooking time is 4 hours on low heat and about 2 hours on high.
