High-Quality Potassium Sorbate for Wine Making

Sorbistat K, also known as Potassium Sorbate, is a must-have for wine makers who want to ensure the best taste and quality of their wine. It prevents renewed fermentation in wine making, which can lead to off-flavors and aromas. With Sorbistat K, you can be confident that your wine will turn out as expected. Our high-quality Potassium Sorbate is specifically designed for wine production and is easy to use with a recommended dose of 0.5-0.75 grams per gallon.

Effective Wine Fermentation Prevention

Sorbistat K works by preventing the growth of yeast and bacteria that can cause renewed fermentation in wine making. This ensures that your wine maintains its flavor and aroma, and prevents any unwanted changes during storage. By adding Sorbistat K to your wine, you can rest assured that it will remain stable and consistent.

Easy to Use and Accurate Dosing

We recommend using a scale to weigh the Potassium Sorbate for an accurate dose. A rough approximate of weight is 1 tsp = 2.3 grams, but we highly recommend using a scale for accurate dosage rates. By using the correct dose, you can ensure that your wine turns out as expected.

Important Notes for Wine Makers

It's important to note that Potassium Sorbate should not be used if the wine underwent an ML fermentation because sorbic acid (in the Potassium Sorbate) will react with lactic bacteria to produce a 'geranium' smelling off-flavor. Also, the higher end of the range (200 ppm) should be used as the wine's pH approaches or exceeds 3.5 or when the alcohol content of the wine is below 10%.
